Quick Draw Results, Numbers, Win 4: What Your State Actually Calls Its Games

· By Patrick Gilmore, Founder

Looking for Quick Draw results? New York’s Quick Draw is a rapid keno game with a drawing every few minutes, and its results live on the official nylottery.ny.gov site (WonYet doesn’t track rapid keno). The once-or-twice-daily games with similar names, including New York Pick 10 and the daily Numbers and Win 4 drawings, are all here.

Lottery games have a naming problem. Half the country calls its three-digit game something different: Pick 3, Cash 3, Play 3, Daily 3, Numbers, The Daily Number, and the same word can mean two completely different games two states apart. If you've ever searched "numbers results" or "what's the daily number" and landed somewhere useless, this page is the map.

"Numbers" / "the daily number", the classic three-digit game

The oldest and most-played daily lottery format: pick three digits, 0-9, straight or boxed, usually with a midday and an evening drawing. New York literally calls it Numbers; Massachusetts and Rhode Island run "The Numbers Game"; Pennsylvania players still say "the daily number" for PICK 3; elsewhere it's Cash 3 (Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas), Play 3 (Connecticut, Delaware), or Daily 3 (Michigan, California, West Virginia). Same idea everywhere: the digits and their order decide the prize.

"Win 4" / "Big 4", the four-digit sibling

Add a digit and it's New York's Win 4, Pennsylvania's PICK 4 (long nicknamed "the Big 4"), Cash 4, Play 4, Daily 4, and so on, almost every state pairs its three-digit game with a four-digit one drawn at the same times.

"Quick Draw" (Quickdraw) results, rapid keno, a different animal

Here's the one that trips people up. In New York (and as "Keno" or "Club Keno" elsewhere), Quick Draw is a rapid keno game: 20 numbers from 80, drawn every few minutes, all day, on screens in bars and delis. It's a fundamentally different product from a daily drawing, and an honest note: WonYet doesn't grade rapid-fire keno tickets, with a new draw every four minutes, the official display or the state app is the right place for those. We do cover the once-or-twice-daily keno games: New York Pick 10, Washington's Daily Keno, Ontario's Daily Keno, Germany's KENO, where a drawing is an event you can actually miss and want checked.

"Pick 6," "Lotto," "Megabucks", the jackpot names

"Six numbers, big jackpot" games wear regional names: New Jersey's Pick 6, plain "Lotto" in Illinois, Texas and elsewhere, and "Megabucks" in several unrelated states: Oregon, Wisconsin and the shared Maine-New Hampshire-Vermont tri-state game all run a Megabucks that has nothing to do with the others. (When a name is ambiguous like that, our Megabucks page asks which state you mean instead of guessing.)

Midday? Evening? Which drawing is mine?

Most digit games draw twice a day, and the ticket says which drawing it's in, look for "Midday"/"Day" or "Evening"/"Night" near the date. It matters: the midday and evening drawings have different winning numbers, and a ticket is only entered in the one printed on it. If you'd rather not squint, scan the ticket, reading the game, the draw slot, and the date off the paper is precisely the fiddly part WonYet automates, across every state's naming scheme at once.
